What is Computer Science?

Computer Science is the study of computation and computer technology, hardware, and software or simply Computer Science is the study of computers and their application.

Importance of Learning Computer Science

Computer science teaches you how to use computers to make the world work as it does. You will learn how to make a computer behave how you want -- this might be making a robot move something from one end of a room to another, it might be making a calculation which saves someone's life in a medical ward, or it could be creating a whole new world through building pictures or sound or building a computer system so that other people can do this.

What does IT mean?

IT is an acronym for Information Technology. Information Technology (IT) is a branch which has recently been derived from computer science. It simply refers to the use of computer and other technologies for the management of vast information. This branch develops technologies (software or hardware) for information management and also solves information management strategies by planning and studying the requirement scenario.

What does ICT mean?

ICT is an acronym for Information and Communications Technology. It means the use of Technology to aid Communication. ICT refers to products that store, retrieve, manipulate, transmit or receive information.

Text vs GUI-Based Navigation

GUI (gooeyyy) is a short-term for Graphic User Interface. For me Text-Based is more difficult than Text-Based. In GUI-Based, there are only two ways to open a folder, left click and right click while in Text-Based, we will use the Command Prompt and all we need is to memorize few kinds of codes only. Pretty cool huh.

MOODLE: Malaysian nOODLE

Stands for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment. During Computer Science Class, we always use this in our hand-outs, hands-on activities, lectures and project. Oh, by the way our web master is Sir Sev Malate. With the clarification of our teacher, we finally understood the use of MOODLE.

The Revenge Of Pitch Black

One of the worst problems we have encountered in the First Quarter is the supply of Electricity. We missed several meetings because of the Shortage of Electricity. Meetings that could have taught us something useful we can use in life.

Adventure Time

The moment I heard about our project, I had mixed feelings like shocked, happy, but afraid. I was afraid I will not be successful in the project because I don’t know how to make a blog. Turned out making a blog is easy. I thank Sir Tom for teaching us the Microsoft Word. It has the same facilities as Blogger but only a sharing site.
